About Collecta
The term "collecta" originates from the Latin language, namely "colligere," which means "to gather" or "to assemble." In the context of Christian liturgy, the term "collecta" refers to the communal prayer of the congregation during worship. This journal was established as a platform for the publication of studies exploring various aspects of theology and Christian traditions. Its focus encompasses liturgy, ecclesiology, digital ministry, church music, ritual studies in worship, practical theology, and the history of religions.
The journal aims to gather and present thoughts, research findings, and analyses that reflect the diversity and depth of understanding of Christian theology and its traditions. As an academic publication, Collecta is issued twice a year by STT HKBP Pematangsiantar, in February and August.
