Depression is an increasingly prevalent mental health issue in the modern era, influenced by various biological, psychological, and social factors. In response to the issue, this study explores the relationship between spirituality and neuroplasticity as a neuroscience approach to addressing depression through meditation. Neuroplasticity refers to the brain's ability to adapt and repair itself through specific experiences and stimulation, including spiritual practices such as meditation. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing theories of neuroscience and spirituality, particularly the ideas of Caroline Young, Cyndie Koopsen, and Karen Choi. The key findings indicate that the synergy between spirituality and neuroplasticity through meditation not only helps alleviate symptoms of depression but also supports overall mental health.
